“One should pay attention to even the smallest crawling creature for these too may have a valuable lesson to teach us.”
— Black Elk
People, animals, and flora are directly affected by public policy and conservation issues. CDR’s proven procedures assure your constituencies that the needs of all species are considered in constructing balanced solutions that encourage long-term sustainability and biodiversity preservation.
We assist federal government agencies, states, and other concerned parties in developing and implementing workable habitat recovery plans. These groups also rely on our expertise to conduct adaptive management, design and convene effective restoration institutions, and handle controversial wildlife management issues.
Examples of our hands-on experience include:
- Facilitation of contentious elements of the Platte (River) Cooperative Agreement to recover four endangered species
- A situation assessment on convening a Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee
- Development of a wolf management plan in Alaska to control predation on moose and caribou herds and promote ecosystem sustainability
