Madison River Dams and Reservoirs, Montana. CDR was the lead mediator for a series of meetings to discuss thermal impacts on fisheries and recreation that resulted in the development of a consensus plan for relicensing of dams and reservoirs that was submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Meetings included dialogue regarding accept-able models for researching thermal impacts, mitigation plans, and cost allocation. Parties to the discussions included Montana Power, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and various citizens' groups. Agreements were reached on a consensus recommendation to FERC.
